Team USA's quest for a fifth straight Olympic gold medal got off to a rocky start on Wednesday, as they fell to South Sudan in an exhibition game in Paris. The Americans were led by Derrick White's 19 points, but they couldn't overcome a strong performance from South Sudan's Wenyen Gabriel, who finished with 25 points and 10 rebounds.
In other Olympic basketball action, Canada defeated Australia 93-83 in Group A. The Canadians were led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's 24 points, while the Australians were led by Ben Simmons' 18 points.
