Warriors Bounce Back, Celtics Tie Series

After losing Game 1 of the 2022 NBA Finals to the Boston Celtics, the Golden State Warriors responded with a convincing 107-88 victory in Game 2. The Warriors took control of the game in the third quarter, outscoring the Celtics 35-14 to build a commanding lead.

Warriors' Third-Quarter Dominance

The Warriors' dominant third quarter was sparked by Stephen Curry, who scored 12 of his game-high 29 points in the period. Golden State also got key contributions from Klay Thompson (25 points) and Draymond Green (11 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists).

The Celtics, who trailed by just two points at halftime, were unable to keep pace with the Warriors' offensive onslaught in the third quarter. Boston shot just 20% from the field in the period and turned the ball over four times.

Celtics' Struggles Continue

The Celtics' struggles continued in the fourth quarter, as they were outscored by the Warriors 20-11. Boston finished the game shooting just 37.5% from the field and 20% from three-point range.

Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 28 points, but he was inefficient, shooting just 9-of-23 from the field. Jaylen Brown added 17 points for Boston.

Warriors Take 2-0 Lead

With the win, the Warriors take a 2-0 lead in the NBA Finals. Game 3 of the series will be played in Boston on Wednesday night.
