Juventus Name Montero Interim Manager
Montero to Take Charge for Final Two Games of Season
Montero replaces Allegri, who was sacked earlier this month
Juventus have appointed Paolo Montero as their interim manager for the final two games of the season, the club announced on Thursday. Montero, who has been coaching the club's Under-19 team, replaces Massimiliano Allegri, who was sacked earlier this month.
Montero, a former Juventus player, has been with the club since 2018. He has led the Under-19 team to success in the Campionato Primavera 1, the top division of youth football in Italy.
Juventus are currently fourth in Serie A, and they need to win their remaining two games to secure a place in next season's Champions League.
Montero's first game in charge will be against Atalanta on Sunday.
